Grok Bot - spending in pstack

I would like to share my experience that wasn't too traumatic because it was just 20€. If you use P-Stack with Grok Bot, it often chooses other models other than Grok or Composer. It gives amazing results but... BEWARE that it doesn't use cursor's other models. You have to pay API pricing for extra usage inside cursor. Even if you haven't spent all your limits in cursor, it's just unrelated.

I can't be mad with cursor because their customer service is very good. If Ben is a bot, it's the best bot I have ever talked to. I will for sure pay the €20, but it could have been much worse because Grok Bot doesn't show the extra usage. You have to go inside Cursor to see it.

Other Models vs Grok Bot The Other Models bar is for Cursor when you pick a specific named model (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Kimi, and similar). That is separate from Grok Bot.

Grok Bot has its own weekly included usage. It uses first-party models automatically (no model picker), so Grok Bot work does not fill the Other Models bar. Agents and tools you run in Grok Bot (including things like pstack) draw from that Grok Bot weekly included usage first.

Shared on-demand Grok Bot and Cursor share one login, one subscription, and one on-demand wallet. When Grok Bot’s weekly included usage runs out, extra Grok Bot usage can continue on that shared on-demand if on-demand is enabled. SuperGrok does not cover on-demand; on-demand is billed on your regular invoices.
