The circus
I call it a circus because that's what it feels like inside it.
You start with a genuine question: "Is this all there is?"
Suddenly you're surrounded by answers. Crystals to shift your energy. Retreats to crack you open. Teachers who've figured it out.
And it feels important. Urgent. Like you're finally on a real path.
But here's what happens: years go by. You're still going to workshops, reading books, waiting for the thing that makes it all click.
There's always another tent. Another teacher. Another technique you haven't tried yet.
Your initial question was legitimate. That hunger for something more than surface life—real. But somewhere between asking and answering, you got busy. Collecting practices. Comparing teachers. Trying to figure out if you're doing it right.
The circus isn't malicious. Most people in it genuinely believe what they're selling. But the system—the whole structure—keeps you moving. From tent to tent. Always seeking. Never arriving.
