Seriously, healing shows up in the most unexpected places. :)
I started playing Candy Crush again recently — as I needed something simple to help my brain wake up and focus again.
At first, it felt amazing. I could feel my brain coming back online. I felt sharper while clearing out the jelly beans in there.
But then I reached a harder level and suddenly I was overwhelmed. And I remember saying to myself: "Just play the game."
And I did. It worked—until it didn't—because I caught myself doing something that was not in my favor at all.
➡️ I kept trying to clear the "jelly beans," even when the task had nothing to do with jelly beans anymore.
My mind kept repeating an old pattern just because it was familiar without first noticing that the goal is a new one.
And that’s when it hit me:
We often keep looking for the "jelly beans" in real life too — old roles, old reactions, old identities — even when they no longer serve the person we are becoming.
So I’m asking you:
What are the “jelly beans” in your life — the habits or identities you’re still chasing, even though you no longer need them?
I found a few of mine... and that’s okay. Awareness is always the first step.
I invite you to share your thoughts below so we can bring awareness into this together.
