Core principles for phrasing your question
1. Ask from your own perspective
Oracle cards reflect your energy and choices. Frame questions around what you can do, feel, or understand.
• Do: What do I need to know about this job opportunity? • Avoid: Will he text me back? That puts the focus on someone else’s free will.
2. Keep it open, not yes/no
Oracle cards give insight and themes, not binary answers. “Yes/no” questions flatten the message.
• Do: What energy surrounds my relationship right now? • Avoid: Is my relationship over?
3. Be specific, but not controlling
Vague = muddy reading. Overly rigid = you’re dictating the answer.
• Do: What can help me move forward creatively this month? • Avoid: Tell me the exact day I’ll get published.
4. Focus on one topic at a time
Stacked questions split the energy. If you have 3 questions, do 3 separate pulls.
• Do: What should I focus on for my health? then later What’s the next step in my career? • Avoid: Should I move, quit my job, and date again?
5. Ask for guidance, not predictions
Oracle cards are strongest for advice, mindset shifts, and awareness. They’ll show you blocks, opportunities, and vibes — not lottery numbers.
• Do: How can I best navigate this conflict with my sister? • Avoid: When will I win my lawsuit?
