I Wrote This in Celebration of a Town!

In 2019 a small town's football team in the Midwest won the State Championship. I watched it and I watched what happened after- the town came together with parades and rallies, and they celebrated their heroes. It was a very special moment for the small Midwest town of Lena, Illinois.

I was inspired and wrote a song about it. The song was so appreciated by the town, the song was heard thousands of times and won me a place in the community. People who would never come out to my shows were front row and center. It was a good move, but it was a sincere one, and it was appreciated.

The result was that the song made me "Lena famous" and produced a great income for me.

I recommend being honest and sincere in you're writing and writing with intention. It might not get you on the music charts, but it will help you see a completely different way to make an impact and a living with your music!
