THE CRUCIFIXION MYTH
What is the deep message hidden behind the words of the Crucifixion story that are meant to be understood spiritually and not literally?
We will look at that.
DEFINING MYTH
The first reaction from people when I suggest that
the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ is a myth, is to be outraged.
The reason for their outrage is that they do not
understand the nature of a myth.
They will say that I am insinuating that the
crucifixion of Jesus did not occur.
Not so.
MYTH DOES NOT MEAN THAT SOMETHING DID NOT HAPPEN
By understanding the myth we should celebrate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Not as religion presents it to us literally, so that we are to consider a God that is not capable of forgiveness without resorting to torture and bloodshed.
THIS IS A CRUCIFIXION
IN THE UNIVERSE
AND IN US
When we understand the myth, we will realize that this is a crucifixion of consciousness, acted out in the universe, and from within our bodies.
DEFINITION OF THE WORD MYTH
A story presented as historical, dealing with the
cosmological and SUPERNATURAL traditions of a people and their God.
An allegory.
In other words, a myth makes a story seem historical, but it really has another meaning, which is cosmological, or supernatural.
THE BIBLE AS SYMBOL
Our first order of business in this quest is to see
if we can justify considering the Bible as
symbolic rather then literal.
We must use the Bible itself.
THE BIBLE ITSELF SAYS IT IS SYMBOLIC AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LITERALLY
  1. 2 Corinthians 3:6
Who also has made us ministers of the
new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit:
for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.
So here is the Bible itself telling us not to take it literally.
AGAIN THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT
STORIES ARE ALLEGORY
2. Galatians 4:24 Which things are an allegory:
Remember that as we showed the definition of
a myth, it included the term allegory.
Here again the Bible tells us it is symbolic.
THE BIBLE SAYS JESUS ALWAYS
SPOKE SYMBOLICALLY
Matthew 13:34
All these things spoke Jesus to
the multitude in parables; and without a parable
he did not speak to them:
The Bible is saying that all of Jesus statements were symbolic.
THE STORIES ALL HAVE HIDDEN MEANINGS
BUT TO UNDERSTAND THEM YOU MUST ENTER WITHIN YOURSELF IN MEDITATION AS JESUS INSTRUCTED
Mark 4:11 And he said to them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but to them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
NOTICE THAT LINE ABOVE.
THEM THAT ARE WITHOUT DO NOT UNDERSTAND,
ONLY THEM THAT ARE WITHIN, WHO PRACTICE THE SINGLE EYE AS JESUS INSTRUCTED
Here the fact that this is all consciousness is made clear.
It says to know the mystery of the Kingdom of God.
WITHOUT AND WITHIN
THIS IS WHAT THAT MEANS
Where is the Kingdom of God ?
Luke 17:21
Neither shall they say, here! or,
there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
THEM THAT ARE WITHOUT DO NOT
UNDERSTAND AND TAKE THIS LITERALLY
THEM THAT ARE WITHIN (MEDITATION) UNDERSTAND
Without means, outside of the meditative state.
It means outside of the inner realm of consciousness where exists the Kingdom of God.
THE OLD TESTAMENT SPEAKS
OF THE SAME MYSTERY
Psalm 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable:
I will utter dark sayings of old:
Here the Bible states that GOD speaks in parables .
And what are dark sayings of old?
Obviously they are symbolic statements.
Finally the Book of Proverbs describes wisdom.
It explains how one becomes wise.
TO HAVE WISDOM
ONE MUST UNDERSTAND DARK SAYINGS
Proverbs 1:6
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation;
the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
OBVIOUSLY THE BIBLE SHOULD
NOT BE TAKEN LITERALLY
AND NEITHER SHOULD THE CRUCIFIXION
Thus we have substantial evidence throughout the Bible to suggest that it is a symbolic book, and should not be taken literally.
With this evidence, we can then proceed to look at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as a symbolic story.
JESUS = SUN
Malachi 4:2 But to you who fear my name shall the SUN of righteousness shall arise with healing in his wings.
JESUS IS A GREEK NAME
The first indication that we have that Jesus is actually a symbol of the Sun comes from the fact that the name Jesus is a Greek name.
IN GREEK MYTH
LETTERS REPRESENT NUMBERS
THAT HAVE MEANINGS
In Greek all of the letters of the alphabet have numerical values 888.
The Greek letters that make up the name Jesus, (ISEOUS), have a numerical value of 888 which in Greek is the number of the mythical sun.
JESUS IS THE MYTHICAL SUN
Thus the name Jesus was created to apply to the
center of this story because it means, the Sun,
the light of the world.
The Sun in the Sky, also compares to the Solar Plexus energy in the human body.
JESUS AND THE TRAJECTORY OF THE SUN
The story line surrounding the life of Jesus is
remarkably similar to the trajectory of the Sun,
which is actually perceived by the movement .
THE SUN BORN IN SEPTEMBER OF VIRGO
THE VIRGIN
Jesus is born of a Virgin, (The Sun is born in September, the 9th month out of the constellation Virgo, the Virgin.)
THE CRUCIFIXION
THE CONSTELLATION
THE SOUTHERN CROSS
Jesus is crucified.
The Sun falling to its farthest southern point in the ecliptic brought the attention of the ancients to the constellation, The Southern Cross ,though the sun occupied Capricorn.
The Southern Cross in the southern hemisphere became the focus of the crucifixion, when the sun made its apparent southern journey in what we know as the winter solstice.
THE DAY OF DARKNESS
THE BIBLE SAYS WHEN JESUS DIED
THERE WAS DARKNESS ON THE EARTH
At this time we encounter the shortest day of the year, Dec 21 where there is more darkness then any other day.
WINTER SOLSTICE
THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS
IN THE TOMB
Jesus is 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb.
The Sun is in the lowest part of the earth on
December 22, 23,and 24.
It is the winter solstice.
Three days and three nights.
DECEMBER 25TH
THE SUN IS BORN OUT OF
THE TOMB OF THE SOLSTICE
Jesus is traditionally born on Dec 25th.
The Sun rises out of the winter solstice on Dec. 25th
Thirty years after his Birth Jesus enters
the water of the waterman John the Baptist.
Thirty days after Dec 25th the Sun enters
the sign of the waterman Aquarius.
JESUS AND THE FISHERMEN
MARCH PISCES THE FISH
Jesus then selects his disciples from
the fishermen.
The Sun enters the sign Pisces, the Fish.
JESUS THE LAMB THAT TAKES
AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD
ARIES THE APRIL LAMB
THAT TAKES AWAY THE
DARKNESS OF THE WINTER
Jesus becomes the Lamb of God that
takes away the sins of the world.
The Sun enters the sign of the Lamb Aries
which takes away the cold of the winter and
brings the new life of the Spring.
JESUS ASCENDS TO SIT AT
THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER
THE SUN RIGHT ASCENDS TO SIT AT THE EAST
(THE RIGHT SIDE)
AT THE SUMMER SOLSTICE.
June 21
THE LONGEST DAY OF THE YEAR
There is more light on the earth this day then any other
Jesus rises to sit at the right hand of the father.
The Sun right ascends in the Northern Hemisphere
to the Eastern sky or the right side, and on
June 21st we have the longest day of the year.
JESUS CONCLUDES IN
REVELATION AS THE LION OF JUDAH
THE SUN CONCLUDES ITS
TRAJECTORY IN THE CONSTELLATION
LEO THE LION AUGUST
Jesus concludes his ministry as the Lion of Judah
in the Book of Revelation.
The Sun concludes its journey in August in the
Sign of Leo the Lion.
What could be more obvious then that Jesus is
the Sun of God, the Light of the World.
LETS TALK ABOUT IT!
