Best Fall Wine?? We have an answer 🎉
Alright friends, I finally did it. My wife and I did a fun little blind tonight with some of the wines that were recommended as “best fall wine” and I’m
Honestly shocked. I had hopes for one to stand out but I was surprised but what won out. I had to turn my little wanna-be-som brain off and try not to guess the wine. We tried a Dolcetto, Oregon Pinot, Chinon Cab Franc, and a Cotes Du Rhône white blend of (supposedly) mostly marsanne roussane.
The Oregon Pinot won out by a landslide! I did not expect that and was hoping the Cab Franc would win.
The Oregon Pinot was from Lance Estate Winery and Vineyard in the Willamette valley.
Look: very light red with a hint of purple. Easily can see through the wine
Nose: camp fire, tobacco, cardamom, cloves
Flavor: very similar to the nose but with some nice acidity, and cooked strawberries.
It was really good and I’m very glad I have this bottle, though it’s not going to last 😂😂 cheers!
