12/21/25
Yule marks the rebirth of the light. This ritual works with that ancient idea:
release what you can’t control, claim responsibility for what you can.
On Yule night (the solstice), write 13 wishes on 13 separate pieces of paper.
Fold them. Place them somewhere safe.
For the next 12 nights of Yule, you will choose one wish each night and BURN IT.
As you release each wish, you are symbolically saying:
“I release control. I trust the unseen forces at work.”
You do not read the wishes you release.
On the 13th night, one paper remains.
You open it.
That final wish is different.
That one is yours.
This ritual isn’t about asking the universe to “handle the rest.”
It’s about recognizing that life is co-created.
Some things are released to time, mystery, and circumstance.
One thing is claimed through discipline, integrity, and steady action.
That balance is the teaching.
Especially at the solstice, when darkness and light exist together, the ritual reminds us that growth comes from honoring both:
- surrender and effort
- trust and responsibility
- rest and resolve
The Yule 13 is not a wish spell.
It’s a commitment ritual.
A quiet agreement with yourself to enter the next cycle with clarity, humility, and intention.
