🛑 Stop Running on Your Own Strength
We’ve all been there: feeling stretched thin, burnt out by the "roles" we play, and wondering if we’re actually capable of handling it all.
Whether you are a leader, a mother, a professional, or a friend — the weight of those titles can start to feel like they define you. But when the role becomes the identity, exhaustion is inevitable.
The Role vs. The Identity
The video touches on a hard truth we often forget:
On your own, you aren’t capable.
That sounds harsh, right? But it’s actually where the emotional renewal begins. When we try to sustain our lives through our own mind and strength, we hit a wall.
"If He’s putting you there, He’s trusting you to give it back to Him: the glory, the process, and the people."
Finding Your Grounding
To feel internally restored, we have to shift our foundation. Here is how we move from "roles" back to "identity":
  • Set the Boundary: Your value is not tied to your productivity or how well you perform your "role" today.
  • The "Who" Before the "Do": You are a child of God before you are an achiever. Your identity in Christ is fixed; your roles are just where you serve.
  • Release the Outcome: If He called you to the platform, the pressure is off your shoulders and on His strength.
How to Apply This Today
  1. Identify the Drain: Where are you relying on your own strength right now?
  2. Give it Back: Literally pray or voice out loud: "Lord, I give this role/position back to You. Work through me."
  3. Rest in the Truth: You are chosen, you are equipped, and you are not doing this alone.
Let’s talk in the comments:
Which "role" has been feeling the heaviest lately, and how can you give the glory (and the stress) back to Him today? 👇
