Identity Beyond Performance
You need relationship. Not another resolution.
Every year we make declarations:
“I’m going to pray more.”
“I’m going to read my Bible consistently.”
“I’m going to get closer to God.”
And sometimes we stick with it.
More often than not… we don’t.
But your relationship with God was never meant to sit on a vision board like a quarterly goal.
It was never meant to compete with your career targets, your children’s schedules, your fitness routine, or your marriage goals.
It is not a resolution.
It is an intentional action.
Daily.
Quiet.
Personal.
Anchoring.
And this is where many high-achieving women get tripped up.
You know how to execute.
You know how to commit.
You know how to perform.
But intimacy with Christ is built on presence, not performance.
Your worth is not measured by:
• how productive you were today
• how perfectly you led the meeting
• how well-behaved your children were
• how many boxes you checked
Your confidence must come from who you are in Christ — not how well you performed for everyone else.
Here’s your reflection for today:
Have I treated my relationship with God like a goal to accomplish instead of a Person to walk with?
When I “miss a day,” do I feel guilt… or do I feel hunger to reconnect?
If my performance was stripped away, would I still feel secure in who I am?
Be honest with yourself.
This is a safe place.
Then go listen (or re-listen) to this week’s episode of She Leads Boldly. Let it recalibrate you. Let it remind you that your identity is rooted in Christ — not in your résumé, your role, or your results.
✨ You are called.
✨ You are chosen.
✨ You are secure — even before you achieve.
Drop one word below that describes who you are in Christ — not what you do.
And if this reflection hit home, go deeper with the podcast episode and continue the conversation there.
