What drives you?
When you strip away titles and strategy decks, three things usually sit at the core:
1. Meaning.
Most servant-hearted leaders can’t stomach the idea of a life that’s just self-maintenance. They serve because it makes existence make sense. Helping others becomes how they touch eternity, even in small, quiet ways.
2. Empathy born from pain.
Many leaders start serving after being on the receiving end of neglect or bad leadership. They remember what it felt like to be unseen, so they lead in the opposite spirit — with presence, not power.
3. Vision of collective growth.
True service isn’t charity; it’s partnership. These leaders see potential in others and can’t rest until it’s unlocked. Their success feels incomplete unless others rise with them.
These are what I've seen in others and myself. Which of these three feels truest to you right now?
If you chose other please let us know what it is in the comments.
