Hi everyone, Iâm so glad youâre here!
I created this space because I believe that for neurodivergent children to truly thrive, we need to move past "fixing" them and start understanding them.
My approach to this community is built on two pillars:
- Professional Foundation: I hold an Honours degree in Psychology, which gives me the scientific and developmental framework to understand how our childrenâs minds work.i am trained in understanding Autism level 2. I am currently studying a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health.
- Lived Experience: My youngest son is Autistic is non verbal and has DS, ADHD, myself and both my oldest adult children have ADHD.I am late diagnosed; I know what it feels like from the inside and the frustration of being misunderstood
What to expect here: This is a neuroaffirming space. My goal is to provide you with insights that honour a childâs autonomy and sensory needs. Whether you are a parent, an educator, or a fellow neurodivergent person, youâll find strategies here that prioritize well-being over compliance.
A quick note: While I use my psychological background to inform my work, this group is for peer support and education. I am here to share my journey and my knowledge to help you support the children in your life, but please always consult with your primary healthcare team for clinical or medical decisions.
I canât wait to get to know you all. Please introduce yourself belowâtell us one thing you love about your child (or yourself!) that makes you/them unique!
