What’s one cold call opener you’ve tested that actually worked?
Cold calls are a game of first impressions—and those first 5-10 seconds can make or break the call. I’ve tested tons of openers, from permission-based to pattern interrupts, but the one that’s worked best for me is surprisingly simple: 👉 “Hey [Name], it’s Daniel. How’s it going?” No permission. No overthinking. Just straight confidence & authority. Here’s why this works: ✅ It sounds natural – like you already know them (no robotic scripts) ✅ It catches them off guard (in a good way) – they’re expecting a sales pitch, not a casual check-in ✅ It establishes authority – you’re not “asking for permission,” you’re leading the conversation From there, I quickly get into why I’m calling, mention other companies in their space we work with, and make it immediately relevant to them. But I’m always testing new approaches to see what resonates best. 👉 What’s YOUR go-to cold call opener? Drop it below—let’s build a list of openers that actually get responses. 💬👇

Here’s the No. 1 Thing Holding You Back 🚧
If you’re still trying to land your first SDR job or struggling to hit quota, let me share something that might sting a little… 💡 The problem isn’t out there—it’s YOU. Before you roll your eyes or scroll away, hear me out. The only person who controls your success is you. Period. I know it’s tempting to blame external factors: - “They have more experience than me.” - “They went to a better school.” - “I don’t have the right connections.” I’ve worked with people from all backgrounds—some with no degrees, no prior experience, and no fancy resumes—and watched them go on to crush it. Landing top SDR roles and earning over $7K a month isn’t reserved for the “privileged.” The difference between those who succeed and those who don’t comes down to one thing: 🌟 They take ownership of their growth and results. 🌟 Here’s What That Looks Like: If You’re Not Landing a Job: Have you worked through the Acing Interviews module? Are you practicing interview responses until you can nail them with confidence? If You’re Missing Quota: - Are you maximizing your daily call volume? - Have you rewatched the cold-calling videos and implemented the tips? - Are you actively working on your pitch, tonality, and objection handling? The Truth? 📌 Success is an investment—in your skills, mindset, and work ethic. If something isn’t working, you need to make the changes to fix it. The great news? You’re not alone in this. This community is packed with tools, resources, and support to help you succeed. But none of that matters unless YOU take the action. Your Next Steps 🚀 ✅ Start where you’re struggling. Whether it’s interviews, cold calls, or closing deals—go back to the resources and get better. ✅ Track your efforts. Are you making enough calls, sending enough emails, and asking for feedback? 💬 Here’s Your Challenge: What’s one thing you know you need to work on but haven’t yet? Drop it in the comments. Let’s figure out how to fix it—together. Remember, the answer is always the same: 👉 You succeed or fail based on YOU. 👈 So, what’s the next step you’re going to take? Let’s get to work. 💪

Here's How I Went From Whiffing Interviews To Acing Them
I always thought I was great at interviewing. I was personable, people liked me, I had solid conversations, I was perfect... right? It wasn't until I started interviewing candidates that I realized what I was doing wrong... "OHHH, I get it now" I realized that a lot of candidates are personable, likeable and could hold a great conversation (even better than I could). The difference between what got someone hired, and what ended in rejection was mainly two things: 1. Confidence and the ability to communicate work ethic 2. Proof of value (storytelling) The candidates that stood out among the rest, were the ones who came to the interviews confidently and owned the conversation, they seemed cool as cucumbers. And, they were interesting, due to their ability to weave interesting narratives. As a result, I came up with my 20% energy booster and 3X story booking method for interviews. 20% Energy Booster: When interviewing, remind yourself during the interview to increase your energy by 20%, be more talkative and outgoing than you feel like, because this results in you seeming far more confident and relaxed. 3X Story Book Method: Have 3 stories relevant to the sales process that relate to most interview questions. For example, I always used my serving experience at Olive Garden as my frame of reference for how I handle customer support and interacted. I could use this when asked about work ethic, how I handled rejection and how I felt calling 100+ individuals a day. I always recommend you have at least 3 relevant stories to help you in your sales process. There's a lot that goes into interview prep, but if you can keep these two things top of mind, you'll stand out among other interviewees and it will help you get to the next stage of an interview. Comment below what you've found most helpful when interviewing!
