If you didn't know, there is a paid community, SDR Mastery. For all my early adopters, I am offering a special pricing of $19 a month... with that you get: 1. Weekly one on one coaching 2. Tailored Resume, call scripts and interview practice 3. Access to a library of cold calls (in the works) 4. Sales training 5. No pressure, message me, ping me, email me, I'll still answer and provide as much value in this community as I possible can... Here's How I Went From Whiffing Interviews To Acing Them
I always thought I was great at interviewing. I was personable, people liked me, I had solid conversations, I was perfect... right? It wasn't until I started interviewing candidates that I realized what I was doing wrong... "OHHH, I get it now" I realized that a lot of candidates are personable, likeable and could hold a great conversation (even better than I could). The difference between what got someone hired, and what ended in rejection was mainly two things: 1. Confidence and the ability to communicate work ethic 2. Proof of value (storytelling) The candidates that stood out among the rest, were the ones who came to the interviews confidently and owned the conversation, they seemed cool as cucumbers. And, they were interesting, due to their ability to weave interesting narratives. As a result, I came up with my 20% energy booster and 3X story booking method for interviews. 20% Energy Booster: When interviewing, remind yourself during the interview to increase your energy by 20%, be more talkative and outgoing than you feel like, because this results in you seeming far more confident and relaxed. 3X Story Book Method: Have 3 stories relevant to the sales process that relate to most interview questions. For example, I always used my serving experience at Olive Garden as my frame of reference for how I handle customer support and interacted. I could use this when asked about work ethic, how I handled rejection and how I felt calling 100+ individuals a day. I always recommend you have at least 3 relevant stories to help you in your sales process. There's a lot that goes into interview prep, but if you can keep these two things top of mind, you'll stand out among other interviewees and it will help you get to the next stage of an interview. Comment below what you've found most helpful when interviewing!
