Amazon Marketing Cloud: The 4 Key Limitations You Need to Know
Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) is an incredibly powerful tool, but it comes with certain limitations that can block your path to success if you're not prepared. Here's what you need to be aware of before diving in:
Your target group needs at least 2,000 users. This is a challenge, especially in niche markets or when focusing on very specific keywords. You might even get zero results if your audience is too small.
Bid Boosts can’t be directly added to ongoing campaigns. This means you'll need to start fresh with new campaign structures—leading to more effort in reporting and additional setup.
You can increase bids up to 900%, but there’s no way to lower them specifically. This makes controlling efficiency harder and requires manual workarounds to stay on top.
Custom Audiences in AMC require SQL knowledge. Without a solid data structure and precise queries, AMC can quickly become a black box.
