Ever had a memory so clear… but it never actually happened?
Woke up this morning thinking about something so random I had to write it down... In 6th grade — I’m almost certain it was 1986 — I remember reading a story in a flimsy Scholastic newsletter about a couple who loved ESPN so much, they named their daughter Espen. I know I read it. I remember where I was sitting. I remember it being next to a story about laser music discs (those never really took off). So I went to look it up. And guess what? The name "Espn" wasn't even used until 2008 for boys… and 2015 for girls. 🤯 There’s no record of it before that. It’s like it never happened. But I remember it. Clearly. Visually. Emotionally. So now I’m wondering…Is this a Mandela Effect? A glitch? Or just the weird way memory works? What’s a moment, detail, or memory you swear happened — but no one else can confirm it? I would LOVE to hear your version of this. Let’s see how weird this gets.
