I’m Claire — recovery professional, 3+ years sober, and currently training for the Great North Run. I have a degree in exercise and fitness and over a decade working in prisons, probation and supported living recovery homes. I’ve seen addiction from both sides — professionally and personally.
Run Free was born from a simple truth: recovery is easier when your body and spirit move together. This free community is a space for women to connect, breathe, share their stories, and explore how running can support healing, strength and self‑belief. No judgement. No pressure. Just movement, honesty and connection.
I’m getting back to running alongside you — one step at a time, literally. There’s also a free 1‑week guide to help you start gently.
This community will help shape a future physical running group for women and young girls in the criminal justice system, using running as a tool for desistance, confidence and freedom.
