“Don’t let your learning lead to knowledge. Let your learning lead to action.”
— Jim Rohn
Jim said something once that stopped a lot of people mid-sentence: “Don’t let your learning lead to knowledge. Let your learning lead to action.”
It sounds almost contradictory. Isn’t knowledge the whole point of learning? Jim didn’t think so. He watched people fill notebooks at his seminars, buy every book on the shelf, and attend every lecture in town, and still go home and do nothing different. The learning had become a hiding place. The goal was never to know more. The goal was to do more with what you already know.
RIGHT NOW
Spring is here and with it, the harvest season Jim loved to teach about. But here’s the thing he always reminded his audiences: you can only harvest what you planted. If spring came and went without action, no amount of October ambition makes up for it. The good news? There’s always another spring. And the best time to start planting is the moment you decide to stop waiting.
A STORY
The Day of Resolve
Jim taught that there’s a difference between interest and commitment. He’d say, “Interested people do what’s convenient. Committed people do what it takes.” But the real turning point, the day everything changes is what he called the day of resolve. It’s the day you stop saying “I’ll try” and start saying “I will.” Not with volume. Not with drama. Quietly, to yourself. That’s enough. Jim believed that single moment of resolve had more power than a year of half-hearted effort.
Hope you have a super day!
Much love
