First Independent Client

Good morning, everyone!

I hope you've all had a fantastic week.

I have a quick question I'd love your input on. If I were to sign my first client to sell their property independently (outside of the estate agency I work for), is there anything legally or professionally stopping me from doing so? Would I need to register as an estate agent, or could I manage this freelance style?

I’m looking to get all my ducks in a row, as I'll be doing some door-knocking on my days off.
