Long term stay suggestions in Vietnam and Malaysia?

I'm planning to be completely nomadic based in Asia for almost all of 2026 and onward, starting in mid-January. After a couple of months in the Philippines, I'll stay in Vietnam for 3 months starting on March 11th in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and then Hanoi/Ha Long Bay area. Malaysia for 3 months after Vietnam.

If anyone has any suggestions or advice on either of these countries/places regarding banking, housing/monthly rentals, and any interesting tips/tricks that should be shared I'd really appreciate it. For Vietnam there's already a couple of alternative sites outside of Airbnb like cozycozy and livinginvietnam.com that I've taken a look at and am also informed on the visa process. Thanks Y'all!
