🌍 Welcome to the Remote Control community
Hey folks it's been a minute, how's business?! I’ve partnered up with @Danny Sullivan from Cloudica (remote time-tracking software) to relaunch this Skool community (which he now owns). Once Skool deal with an issue changing the URL, this group will be at skool.com/remote-control. Danny is a long-time DCer and successful outsourcing entrepreneur with his business Agents Of Value. Frustrated with existing tools, he built Cloudica as an internal solution to ensure productivity, accountability, and seamless collaboration, without the micromanagement. Now, it's available to remote-first businesses like the ones we are building. (Although in my case the agents I'm managing are not human!). We're also launching a beehiiv newsletter for this, and anyone who left their email when signing up here is about to receive it (just hit sent!).

Will influencers be the death of remote work?
This is a funny thread of factors that are making companies take remote work away https://x.com/rekesk/status/1910828906552209602 "I personally know of a leader of a large cap company who wanted to speak to a key employee involved in a major project. They drove to the satellite office, found said employee working remote vs being onsite, boomer raged kicked in and remote work ended for all."

Atlassian crushing remote-forward
Interesting story about how Atlassian’s commitment to a remote-forward work model has attracted a surge of job applicants. This trend underscores the ongoing debate between employers and employees regarding workplace flexibility and its impact on talent acquisition. https://fortune.com/2025/04/07/how-one-companys-remote-forward-work-model-led-applicant-surge-amid-rto-mandates/

What’s your current async tech stack for managing a fully remote team?
I’m still on the hunt for that perfect to-do tool. Right now I’m juggling Nozbe and Notion, but it still feels a bit clunky. Curious what setups others are using that actually feel good day-to-day.
