A Note to Self: You Are Your Biggest Investment
Let's get real for a moment. You – yes, YOU – are your most significant investment. Think of it this way, through our P.I.C.S. framework:
  • P is for PRODUCT: What you put in you is what will be pressed, squeezed, or agitated out of you. So what will you PRODUCE? You are the output of your thoughts, actions, and efforts.
  • I is for INVESTMENT: How and what can you best invest to advance and increase your new goals and objectives? This isn't just about money; it's about your time, energy, and your focus.
  • C is for CONSULTANT: What advice are you giving yourself? This is based on your knowledge base, which is greatly influenced by who and what you Look, Listen, and Learn from. The "3 L's" are your constant guides.
  • S is for SERVICE: How will you Self-Serve (Self-Care) yourself so that you are more than adequate enough to SERVE Others? Your well-being isn't selfish; it's foundational.
This P.I.C.S. acronym is worth a thousand words! Remember, you are your business, you are your brand. Investing in yourself is an intricate part of the cultivation, growth, and development of the required regime or routine system that will structure, discipline, and build up the new YOU, brick by brick.
If you genuinely want to reach your potential for great success, this book will cultivate and develop you in many areas, allowing you to grow and discover the greatness inside of you. You are unstoppable when you realize that it's all about how you see yourself. Once you tap into the power of I'mPossible versus Impossible.
With this in mind, ask yourself this very important question: If you found out today that you had one year to live, how would you feel? What would you do? Where would you go? Who would you take along? What would you become in order to fully enjoy and embrace that one final, defining year of your life?
Hmmmm... interesting if you don't know the answers, and even more interesting if you think you do! Why? Because it’s like a chain reaction, stumbling into the TRUE YOU once you begin to do what you love, happily, instead of living unhappily.
Okay, now buckle up because your journey to create the new YOU has begun, and we're just warming up. Are you ready? Here is an intellectual tool to accept, adapt, and adjust to. As we proceed, you must begin to Create like a Creator – with no limits, no boundaries, no glass ceilings, because all is possible. Your first investment into the new YOU will be to prepare for your more than great success. Though you may feel like you are already ready, you may even feel like you are past ready, but first, the deprogramming process must begin. You must basically change your general input to produce a different specific output. This applies to life in general: home, school, work, community, and relationships. When you are suddenly unplugged from your old way of thinking, it can be a huge culture shock. We have to pace ourselves and go at a speed that minimizes your ratio of resistance. We don't want to move too fast or build you up too tall too soon. This is a huge yet more than possible task. There is a saying, "How do you eat an elephant?" The answer, of course, is "One bite at a time!"
