Hi All. I've been teaching myself guitar strumming for about 10 years on and off, because I wanted to join an open acoustic night at my local pub. Unfortunately the pub closed down before I got up the bottle to play 🤣. Anyway, I'm a Londoner, currently living in Lincolnshire (LiLi land... see what I did there?). I've got quite a musical past (playing tuba for many years and singing in a variety of choirs) and I don't have too bad a voice. I don't get much time to practice really, but recently I've been doing some music Interaction sessions for kids in the school where I work. This has led to a few more requests to come into class and play something. So I'm getting a bit more practice over the last couple of months. I've never played a live gig as such, but I do have experience of performing live when playing the tuba. I'd love to get the confidence and an appropriate repertoire to play live. I want to offer my services for free, to a local care home in order to get started. I also like the thought of recording a few of my covers for posterity. My go-to songs are Me and Julio (Paul Simon), I see A Bad Moon Rising (CCR) and Lego House (Ed Sheeran). I signed up here after finding out about it through another community on Skool.
