Hello from LiLi land
Hi All. I've been teaching myself guitar strumming for about 10 years on and off, because I wanted to join an open acoustic night at my local pub. Unfortunately the pub closed down before I got up the bottle to play 🤣. Anyway, I'm a Londoner, currently living in Lincolnshire (LiLi land... see what I did there?). I've got quite a musical past (playing tuba for many years and singing in a variety of choirs) and I don't have too bad a voice. I don't get much time to practice really, but recently I've been doing some music Interaction sessions for kids in the school where I work. This has led to a few more requests to come into class and play something. So I'm getting a bit more practice over the last couple of months. I've never played a live gig as such, but I do have experience of performing live when playing the tuba. I'd love to get the confidence and an appropriate repertoire to play live. I want to offer my services for free, to a local care home in order to get started. I also like the thought of recording a few of my covers for posterity. My go-to songs are Me and Julio (Paul Simon), I see A Bad Moon Rising (CCR) and Lego House (Ed Sheeran). I signed up here after finding out about it through another community on Skool.
My not so brief introduction to the community.
My home recording has been limited to my Boss BR80 8 track recorder. I have Abelton live 10, Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5, 6 and 7 and Amplitube 5. As a standalone Guitar Rig and Amplitube are amazing pieces of software but I just couldn't get a handle on uploading everything to my DAW, Abelton finding the program quite difficult. Therefore I just use my BR 80.

Hey guys, please take a moment to say hi and tell us about yourself, your music, etc. Feel free to post a pic of your home studio, your favorite instrument, yourself. etc... Links to your music if you've published any is perfectly fine. Please just try to keep it to the catalog of your music rather than continually posting individual songs (there will be space for that elsewhere). That said, I'm one of your hosts and my name is Mark Tiarra. I'm from Music With Marky on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/MusicWIthMarky) and you can hear my music there in the My Songs playlist or follow me on Spotify @ https://open.spotify.com/artist/2iGVLO33dz7ribdrH3IUv0?si=64HzPTRwTRCbkJnop1OEAQ I've been writing and recording music since I started on a 4 track in 1988. I always tried to ring the most out of the equipment I could afford and to this day I pride myself on getting music to sound pro out of a home studio. Hopefully I can pass what I've figured out on to you guys and also learn a bunch more just from being here.

Hi From Great Southern Land
Hi All, I'm in SW Western Australia. I've been learning Guitar, Music Theory etc for about 2-3 years now along with recording and all things music🙄. I've converted a bedroom into a Music Room which is great to shut myself away for hours 😄🎸 Looking forward to learning some better home recording techniques.
