The Evolution of the SME - Subject Market Educator
Happy Sunday LEARNin Local Community!😀
As I was at Moonlight Beach yesterday enjoying the 80 degree paradise weather.. I had an epiphany!!!
I’ve been interviewing so called “Subject Matter Experts” for over 20 years now. 📟
I’m not the authority when it comes to podcasts or Podcasters and I certainly don’t claim to be an “expert” at it. 🤓
SME now will refer to a SUBJECT MARKET EDUCATOR
SME will no longer refer to a SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT.
Why? Most of people I have ever interviewed or spent time on a podcast was there to EDUCATE regardless whether they considered themselves experts. Meaning, the “expert” title was not the reason they showed up.
They showed up because they were aligned with my original vision… to EDUCATE, INSPIRE & EMPOWER others.
In a world where we are all LEARNin’, we need more EDUCATORS!!!
