When We Pray
Prayer is one of the greatest gifts God has given us. It’s not just a spiritual habit — it’s a lifeline. When we pray, we’re not speaking into the air; we’re speaking to God the Father, walking with Jesus, and being strengthened by the Holy Spirit. Prayer connects us to the One who knows us, sees us, and loves us without conditions.
Prayer affects us because it shifts the atmosphere inside of us. Worry becomes peace. Confusion becomes clarity. Weakness becomes strength. When we bring our real thoughts, real struggles, and real hopes to God, something powerful happens — He meets us there. Not with judgment, but with presence.
The value of prayer isn’t in fancy words or perfect moments. Its value is in the relationship it builds. We pray because God invites us to. We pray because Jesus modeled it. We pray because the Holy Spirit helps us when we don’t even know what to say. Prayer keeps our hearts soft, our minds steady, and our lives aligned with God’s purpose.
And as we pray, our faith grows. Every answered prayer strengthens our trust. Every moment of peace reminds us He’s near. Every time we pray and feel Him carry us through, our confidence in His goodness deepens. Faith doesn’t grow by accident — it grows through connection, and prayer is that connection.
REAL Women, keep praying. Pray when you’re strong and when you’re tired. Pray when you have the words and when you don’t. Pray because God hears you, Jesus intercedes for you, and the Holy Spirit empowers you. Prayer doesn’t just change situations — it changes you.
Reflection: What is one area of your life you can intentionally bring to God in prayer today?
