The forest always tells the truth…
I walked into the forest today with a heavy heart.
No distractions, no music, just me, my breath, and the quiet hum of the earth.
At first, I noticed my mind reaching for comfort… thinking about food, messages, things to do. The usual little escapes. But the forest doesn’t let you hide. It mirrors you.
The stillness asked me to slow down. To listen.
And beneath all the noise, I could feel what I’d been avoiding, sadness, uncertainty, a quiet longing for something I couldn’t name.
I used to fill those moments with snacks or endless “productivity.” Now, I let the trees hold me instead.
Their calm reminds me that feelings, like seasons, are temporary. They move through when we stop fighting them.
So I sat on the mossy ground, took a deep breath, and let the forest do what it does best, bring me back home to myself.
And somehow, without trying to “fix” anything, I left feeling lighter. Clearer. More real.
