In the last month we’ve had 3 caregivers fall asleep on night shift: two of them was there first time with our agency and they brought pillows and blankets!!! The last one is an amazing caregiver on day shift but he fell asleep last night on shift with one of our clients who’s already a bit of a high maintenance kind of client.
I’ve decided to include that in part of our orientation about it being an awake shift but idk what else to do. Also, explain that they will be terminated as soon as we hear if they are asleep. Any tips?
