Prayer Devotional: A snippet from my devotional today that I thought was really powerful, check it out!
JUST PRAY
"And when you pray, don't be like those people who don't know God. They continue saying things that mean nothing, thinking that God will hear them because of their many words. Don't be like them, because your Father knows the things you need before you ask him."
MATTHEW 6:7-8 NCV
God, as I kneel before You in prayer, keep my words simple. May each one have meaning and not be empty words, empty phrases. I don't need to fill Your ears with endless talk for You to hear, because You have promised to listen to me when I pray to You in faith. You are my heavenly Father; You want me to come to You as Your child I'm calling out to You today, in reverence but also with assurance that my Abba hears me and knows what I need even before I form the words on my tongue. Amen.
