A Clean Heart for a New Beginning
As we step into a new season—whether a new year, a fresh chapter, or a moment of recommitment—God’s greatest desire is not simply changed behavior, but a changed heart. New beginnings in Scripture almost always start internally before they show up externally. A clean heart is not about perfection; it’s about position—placing ourselves humbly before God and inviting Him to do what only He can do.
David prayed this prayer not from a place of pride, but from repentance. He understood something powerful: you cannot carry old residue into a new season and expect new fruit.
