Slowly, Slowly
Today is definitely a day I am listening to my own advice (for once). Often I look at myself and think, if only I could train myself, using the same principles I use with dogs.
Let me explain further. Today I had my amazing scent group, and then my amazing current puppy group. Both of which were amazing lessons. The past 6 months have been a challenge for me, many of you know, but for those who don't, I have a spinal disease which has made mobility so tough at times. Today I felt OK, so I moved a few things about, nothing heavy, nothing silly, but just those little movements have made me need to rest this afternoon.
I can definitely feel I have done a lot more than I have for many many months, although not much, my body is clearly not ready!
So when I tell you wonderful people, go slow, work at your dogs pace, there is 100% a valid reason behind it.
Slow and simple will win the race!
