AI For Good - Google's Notebook LM
For the past year or so I've been using Google's NotebookLM as a personal AI research assistant to help me with questions that pop up daily about my Sync work, Logic (my DAW), arranging, mixing, etc.
Here's their description of what it does:
Google NotebookLM is an AI-powered research and note-taking tool that helps users synthesize information from multiple sources and generate insights. It's designed to be a personalized AI research assistant that utilizes Google's Gemini 1.5 Pro model. Users can upload various document types, including PDFs, websites, and YouTube lectures, and NotebookLM will ground the AI in that specific content. This allows users to ask questions, get summaries, generate study guides, and even create audio overviews of their notes.
I've uploaded the Logic Manual, several e-books I've purchased over the years, documents I've created, guideline and best practices from Publishers, etc. It's an incredible resource specifically for what I need every day to do my job well and saves LOADS of time and searching.
PRIVACY - most importantly, the source I use are private to my NotebookLM and NOT used by Google or anyone to train other AI models.
