Wayfinder's Workshop Wednesday - a bit late
I did so much work on updating our Skool site yesterday that I completely forgot to post about it!
Here are some of the changes you may have noticed:
  • Updated Images
On the About page, the Community Cover (on the right side of the screen), and our Community badge. Since these are the first images that people see, they needed to speak a bit more clearly about the focus of our site.
  • Terminology
We're moving away from the term "adulting." While it still fits, this is a term that is considered "cringe" to a large part of our target audience. So while I'll still use it occasionally, it won't be used as the name for our primary focus. "Life Skills" is a more appropriate term and covers a broader range of potential content. So... Welcome to your Life Skills Adventure!
  • More Organized Classroom
The classroom now reflects our new tiered membership levels, with the more "top of mind" journeys at the top. You'll find the Tier Catalogs in the first row — they contain the list of all content you have access to with direct links so you don't have to fish around to find what you need. You'll also find instructions for claiming your seat in the QuestKeeper, our Learning Management System (LMS).
  • More Organized Onboarding
You'll find three pinned posts on our Community landing page. If you follow them in order, you'll learn what you need to do in order to get started, get the most out of your membership, and reach your first reward.
  • Renamed Flagship Journey
To better fit the "Life Skills" theme, our flagship journey is now titled "Money Matters" and will cover the financial literacy topics. This journey is available for all tiers because money matters is something everyone needs.
As a REMINDER: The first Quest in the Money Matters journey is available - Why Do We Have a Minimum Wage? This is not so much a history lesson as it is a call to consider how the concept of Minimum Wage applies to every one of us as we navigate job searches and pay negotiation. Why do we need a minimum wage, and how does it impact our own salaries? This is foundational material as we move into topics that cover how we use the money we earn. This quest also comes with a Companion Guide for teachers and homeschoolers, available at Premium and VIP tiers.
  • Career Readiness Journey
We have three Quests that will help you set goals, reduce your cognitive load and get more from your brain, or navigate a new manager role.
  • Mastering AI Tools Journey
We've got a great tool that will help you create your AI Clone using a Master Prompt. This is a more intermediate skill, so if you're new to AI it will feel a little out of order. If you've already started your AI journey, the Master Prompt will save you a lot of time by preloading the information your AI tools need to know beyond your current request.
  • Apex Challenge
Finally - we've got our First Apex Challenge starting on Monday associated with the Thinking Outside the Brain Quest. If you've got a lot going on and move into brain fog territory, this challenge will help you develop a toolkit to reduce your cognitive load by letting the rest of your body, your environment, or the people around you share the load. Registration closes on Sunday.
Have you noticed the changes? Please share your thoughts. I want to hear them!
