Memorization
Tonight's class has motivated me to start reading out loud to myself as well as take a verse and right it down and keep it in front of me until i memorize it.
Proverbs 5
Reading today the chapter and the 12x devotional I have to ask my self , am I guarding what I input I to my mind eyes and soul? As the years have gone by I find that many TV shows are just not what I need to be feeding off and calling entertainment. As the information I take in narrows I have to be careful what I fill tha time with. I need to be following with time with my wife, my daughter and son in law, my parents and family, as well as close friends. As long as those friends keep me on the right path and tell me when I am off. Also, I can’t help but think of the challenges God has given me to engage more honoring God with his truth. How can I do that in love? I’ll have to work on that.

Day 303
Reading today’s devotional reminded me of a time not too long ago when I valued men’s opinions more tha Gods. Not openly speaking that but by my actions and know now how that is a trap. I was career and money focused and tha led me to follow men and eventually built up to be a wedge between myself and my God. Thankfully God rescued me and allowed me to see where I was wrong. At the time I was asking why God had taken my leadership position away but he knew better as allways.
SELF MASTERY AND WISDOM FROM PROVERBS 6
Reading Proverbs 6 reminds us that wisdom is not just about what we avoid. It is about how we govern ourselves before trouble shows up. Proverbs 6:1–19 gives us a clear picture of self mastery in action. First, wisdom teaches restraint Impulsive decisions, especially financial or emotional ones, can trap us quickly. Wisdom pauses before committing. Second, discipline must come from within The ant prepares without being told. No overseer. No pressure. Just responsibility. Self mastery grows when discipline becomes internal. Third, character is revealed in small behaviors Words, gestures, attitudes, and intentions all matter. Lack of self control does not explode suddenly. It erodes quietly. Finally, pride and deception destroy relationships The things Scripture warns against most are the things that fracture trust and unity. Self mastery protects both your character and the people around you. Reflection for today Where do you need more restraint, discipline, or humility right now Drop your thoughts below and let us grow in wisdom together 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
