⚔️ WEEK 2 CHALLENGE: THE MOVEMENT MIX
October 12–18 Last week, we tackled 300 pull-ups. This week, we’re switching things up. Your challenge: Accumulate intentional movement throughout the week AND try at least 1 activity you don’t normally do. 🎯 PICK YOUR LEVEL 🟢 BASE: 150 minutes ⚪ STANDARD: 300 minutes 🔴 BEAST: 450 minutes 💪 WHAT COUNTS? Walking, running, lifting, cycling, swimming, hiking, yoga, Pilates, mobility, sports, or any other intentional movement. YES, your regular workouts count! 🔀 HERE’S THE TWIST Try at least 1 activity outside your normal routine. 🏋️ Always lift? Try yoga or swimming. 🏃 Always run? Try strength training. 🚶 Always walk? Try cycling or Pilates. 💪 Do everything? Pick something you’ve neglected. Even 10 minutes of something different counts. 📋 THE RULES ✅ Pick your level. Adjust if needed. ✅ Accumulate minutes over 7 days. No daily minimum. ✅ Mix activities. Your normal workouts count. ✅ Try at least 1 activity you don’t normally do. ✅ Modify as needed. Walking, seated exercise, and low-impact options all count. ✅ Recovery matters. Don’t push through pain or add unnecessary training. ✅ Track your minutes honestly. A missed target doesn’t erase your effort. No equipment or special app required. Just track your minutes on your phone, watch, or a piece of paper. Report your progress in your regular Friday check-in and share your final total here after the weekend. The challenge is optional and doesn’t affect Active 300 status. 👇 YOUR TURN! Drop 2 things in the comments: 1️⃣ BASE, STANDARD, or BEAST? 2️⃣ What’s the NEW activity you’re trying? Get moving. Try something different. Have some fun with it. LET’S GO, PROJECT 300! ⚔️💪
Week 1!! And Week 2 Updates
I know week 1 ended already but I started after traveling last Thursday and finished yesterday. Wanted to post last night but couldn’t figure out where to edit the video 🤣 also, late or not, i refuse to not finish the challenge. anyway.. week 1 complete! 300/300 60 strict pull-ups (way harder than i thought lmao) 30 lat pulldown (no video of this) 210 trx rows Brought the proof! Enjoy my oldest counting with me mid video! And no wonder she says she can do 100 pushups 😂 WEEK 2!!! Okay so, week 2 is off to a slow start. We are having a tough week back. Slow transition but I’ll get back into the full swing of things. Monday and tuesday no activity. Wednesday i followed my program for 45 minutes of hill repeats followed my 10 minutes of walking. Today was supposed to easy swim and do pool with the kids. That didn’t happen, but recovery was poor so not the biggest deal. So currently at 55 / 150 Tomorrow will be back to regular scheduled program except I’ll need to modify it. Tomorrow will do race simulation (since i took today off) Saturday I’ll go for easy run (45-60 min). Sunday long run - going to aim for 80-90 minutes here. I need the endurance anyway so the runs will be good. That should put me over 150 for sure. Not my ideal goal as i like to aim high, but hey, I’ve been MIA from spartan training for a long time and I’m just getting started again 😈 Sorry for the long post haha.
Week 1!! And Week 2 Updates
Challenge Update
Started the day off with 20 minutes of yoga, or if I may borrow from Zack, Toga. Definitely something to work on. Then after Little Coach got home from school, we did 60 minutes of Performance Track Grip workout. Then a 40 minute walk to the park and back with 20 minutes of tossing the football around. Don’t tell Little Coach, but a quarterback prodigy he is not. Maybe a tight end, but not a QB. Achilles is almost back to normal so I can start running again pretty soon. So if my math is correct that’s 140 minutes of activity today. That’ll be 390/300 for the week.
Challenge Update
Wk2 workout 2
Did yesterday’s workout today since I was out of town. BB overhead presses are a little challenging for me due to weak left shoulder but hopefully I’ll improve and be able to add more weight over the next 2 weeks. Tried adding another 10lbs today but left it at 5lbs more for a more gradual increase and not to push the shoulder too much. Did 20 minutes of mobility work after, which I believe has been helping with the squats because they were better today even with the lighter weight and pause. Stationary bike ride tomorrow morning and then a neighborhood 3 mile walk with the hubby in the late afternoon. Looking forward to deadlifts on Saturday 💪🏼
