Welcome to the Forge, Forge-Borns!
Project Phoenix did not happen overnight. It was born and tempered in the Forge of the Phoenix, a place where the heat of living with neurological and visual disabilities is transformed into a blueprint for autonomy.
Too much information about disability feels clinical or disconnected from real life. This project exists to bridge that gap. I am not presenting a perfect blueprint; I am sharing lived experience, personal research, and practical experimentation to help you build a system that works for you.
My mission is organized into Four Chambers:
🔥 Fire-Forged Tools | The Accessibility Chamber Independence begins with the right equipment. We move past the definitions and focus on the reality of artifacts. I provide honest breakdowns of what works and what does not, ensuring you only carry the tools that truly serve your mission.
🪽 Wings of the Phoenix | The Transportation & Mobility Chamber To rise, you must move. This chamber focuses on the logistics of the journey: navigating public transit, mastering mobility aids, and reclaiming the freedom to traverse a world that was not built for your wings.
☄️ The Rising Ember | The Employment & Finance Chamber A Phoenix needs steady heat to soar. Here, we focus on the "alchemy" of financial independence, navigating employment and managing the unique constraints of disability with practical, real-world strategies.
🛡️ The Iron Core | The Mindset & Rights Chamber The unshakeable center. We focus on the policy and legal rights that protect us, while strengthening the mental health and iron will required to stay resilient. This is the heart of the forge
At its core, Project Phoenix is about learning, adapting, and sharing knowledge openly. Some tools will work for you, others will not. We are here to contribute ideas and perspectives so that fewer people have to figure everything out alone.
