Welcome to the group 🤍
My family is Guyanese Indian, and I was raised in an environment where Hinduism was practiced as our primary religion. However, growing up in Canada, I never truly immersed myself in it or took the time to understand the depth of the philosophy and way of life behind it.
After a spiritual awakening later in life, I began to realize just how much I had overlooked. When my grandfather passed away, I felt a deep sense of grief not only for him, but for the wisdom, stories, and teachings about Hinduism that were never fully passed down to me. That loss sparked a strong desire to reconnect with my roots and truly understand the philosophy my ancestors lived by.
This group is the result of that journey.
I am learning, and I invite anyone who is a beginner, curious, or simply interested in Hinduism to learn alongside me. Together, we will study the Bhagavad Gita and other ancient Hindu texts through daily, small, digestible teachings that focus on real applications in today’s world.
The goal is simple: practical wisdom you can actually apply to your life.
If you’re here to learn, reflect, and grow, you’re in the right place.
"There is nothing in this world that can purify as powerfully as wisdom."
- Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4, Verse 38
