A young man approaches his father with quite a dilemma. He asks his dad for some help. His dad says OK son what is it that I can help you with and he said Dad I told a white lie today because I didn’t want to hurt somebody’s feelings and one of my friends knows the truth and I’m afraid he’s gonna blab so if I don’t figure out how to fix it it’s gonna hurt her feelings anyways what do I do and the Dad says it’s like this son. I’m gonna send you to town and I’m gonna give you one piece of notebook paper now it takes two hours to get to town and back and you’re gonna walk and on the way to town. I want you to tear off a little piece of paper and drop it on your way all the way to town all the way to town and make sure that you use the whole paper all the way to town like I said it’s gonna take you about an hour to get there if you walk so make sure you take care of all your business or whatever it is. As soon as you’re done. Head on back and on your way back, I want you to pick up every single piece of paper that you dropped along the way all the way till you get back home what do you think son? You can do that can’t you? And the boy says well Dad I can’t do that and his dad says well. Why not and the boy says well that’s impossible Dad there’s no way like I’m not gonna be able to find every single piece of paper. Some of it will blow away or you know, it’s just not gonna be there it’s gonna be scattered in the wind. And the Dad said exactly and that’s what happens when you lie. It’s scatters in the wind and you never know where it’s gonna land or where all the pieces are gonna end upIt’s always best to tell the truth son cause then you don’t have to run around catching all the pieces even though sometimes it’s difficult to tell the truth it’s always the better choice.
