Major shipping screw up! HELP!!!
Ok so this is my first time shipping and I used pirate ship and I'm sure this is going to seem like a stupid mistake to a lot of people I just have never had experience with shipping before. I had three boxes going out to Beau with quite a bit of money tied up in. I went the cheapest route on all of them one was USPS and the other two UPS . Not knowing any better I thought I could drop all at the post office I'm sure as many you know that's not the case. They had just closed and a girl who had come from the back she was emptying all the mailboxes and one of my boxes wouldn't fit in their self-service kiosk. She's like oh no problem I'll take them so I put them all in her big cart she was pushing I didn't think anything of it and I left. Being it was Saturday it didn't alarm me that none of them had been scanned in yet by Sunday evening I just assumed it would happen Monday morning which was the case with the one for United States postal service as the day went on the UPS's were not scanned in. I'm thinking okay that's weird so I did some research and called and found out well obviously what a lot of people already know that I can't drop those off there I was informed by customer service. The post office told me to go back down there and see if they had my packages which I did. Unfortunately they were no help whatsoever they said that they can't locate the packages like they wouldn't even go look and see if they were back there they don't know where they're at and what will happen to them they might show up at my house they might show up at their destination they have no idea and obviously UPS was about the same amount of help. So at this point it's been almost a week it'll be a week Saturday I'm not really sure what I need to do if there's anything I can do do should I start a claim? I'm just lost at this point beyond myself and upset over the whole situation and the money I will ultimately lose on this money that I don't have the lose, but I want to make sure that the shipping cost that Beau paid out of pocket gets paid back to him as well. The box that was United States postal service label did arrive to Beau today thank God for that at least. I was thinking what was owed to me on that box he did receive he could take the shipping out of first hopefully it's enough to cover it. And I am very grateful for this site somewhere to go I should have posted here earlier I didn't even think about it till just now that somebody might have done this before, somebody might have some advice for me on what to do I appreciate everybody and thank you ahead of time.
