For the first 8 months of my business journey, I was incredibly inconsistent.
Some days I’d plan out my day, tell myself I’d get everything done, then get hardly anything done.
And the occasional day I’d tick off EVERYTHING in my to-do-list.
At the end of the day, I’d be frustrated. I felt like I was grinding, but had nothing to show for it.
And had that every single day for 8 MONTHS STRAIGHT.
Then I fixed it.
Now, I wake up (literally writing THIS POST after waking up), execute immediately, and get more done in a few hours compared to what I used to in a few days.
- I never miss my routine
- I never waste time anymore
- I never feel inconsistent
Here’s how I did it:
STEP 1: Eliminating Procrastination
Procrastination has a cause.
If you don’t fix the root problem, it’ll keep coming back no matter what productivity tactics you try.
For me, procrastination came from:
- Being overwhelmed (too many tasks, no clear priority)
- Low energy levels (had really bad sleep and poor focus)
- Not a strong enough why to actually WORK
Here’s how I fixed it:

- If you find you start procrastinating, ask yourself “what’s the first step that I can take to get out of this task?”
- Do it step-by-step
LOGGING OUT OF SOCIAL MEDIA
- I’m now getting into more of a habit to log out of social media whenever I’m not actively using it.
- This makes sure that I don’t just pick up my phone and scroll.
WHY:–
“a man who has a strong enough why can bear almost any how”
Once I realized this, I had a strong enough reason to work.
STEP 2: Efficiency With Work
The fastest way to become consistent? Make working easy and EFFICIENT.
I now do these:
- Wake up & work immediately – No morning routine, do that later
- Work in a dark room – Tunnel vision pretty much
- Phone on the other side of the room/on airplane mode - makes me not check my phone or social media at all
- One tab open at a time – No multitasking.
- White noise/brain.fm – Drowns out background distractions.
- Blinds down – Eliminates outside distractions.
- To-do list for tasks – So I know exactly what to do when I sit down.
I can now get more done compared to what it used to take me WEEKS to do.
STEP 3: Sleep Routine
Once we’ve got EFFICIENCY dialed in, we can move onto a fixed SLEEP routine.
Consistency starts with energy - and energy starts with sleep.
I used to think that I needed to work 14 hours a day to be productive, but that BURNED me out.
Fixing my sleep made me:
- More productive with less effort
- More focused throughout the day
- Feel 10x better every morning
Here’s my night routine that gives me on average 80 - 90% quality sleep:
- Cut off all work an hour before bed (8pm) – No more working late.
- Do an evening routine – Tells my body it’s time to wind down.
- Something that relaxes me – Lowers stress & tension.
- Something that cools my body temperature down – Helps me fall asleep faster.
- Something that clears my mind – No racing thoughts at night.
- Darkening my room – The darker, the better.
- At least 8 hours in bed – Guarantees 7-7.5 hours of sleep.
When your sleep is dialed in, everything else becomes effortless!!
STEP 4: Consistency
Once I built the right routine, I made sure I stayed CONSISTENT.
To this day I still follow it exactly how it’s supposed to.
- I follow my routine every single day. No excuses
- I check off my tasks daily. Builds accountability
- I create wins & momentum. Small wins stack up overtime and as a result give you a lot more CONFIDENCE.
This will ELIMINATE your inconsistency as long as you take action on this post.
As soon as I became consistent with my schedule that’s where the real fun, pleasure and money started to come in.
