14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
Daddy,
This is the most intimate part of this psalm, asking you to validate me.
Daddy, are the words of my mouth the kind of words that honor you? Are they the words that are salt and light? Does the tone and temperature please you? Should I say or refrain from saying? Daddy remind me of what good words to speak! Thank you that I can ask ah trust Your honesty without judgment.
Daddy, are the things I think about where no one can see, do they please you? Are they good for me? Are they what you intend for me? Are there things I ponder and muse that I need to let go of? Are there meditations I need to stop because I already asked and you said no or wait? Am I creating my own anxiety by my thoughts? Are there things that please you? Are there thoughts that bring us mutual joy? Will you reward those and remind me to dwell on them?
Oh Lord – You ARE, now in the present the source of my strength. I utterly depend on you. You are my redeemer, You make my life new and restored with dignity.
If you are pleased with the conversation, both vocal and private in my heart, then we are in great intimacy. We are enjoying each other. I see your smile….You see mine too.
