Episode Number in Titles

Quick question when it comes to Apple podcasts. I came across an article that shows Apple does not like episode numbers in the titles. Adam recommends this, and is helpful if you're a guest on other podcasts as a reference for people to find you better.

Any thoughts if someone is targeting Apple platform and looking to grow on that platform to maybe not include episode season/ number in the title?
