Clean Coop Air Means Happy Chickens
Chickens can get sick if the air in their coop isn’t clean. Make sure the coop is ventilated so fresh air gets in. Clean the bedding often so dust and ammonia smells don’t build up. For a little immune boost, add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar or a crushed garlic clove to their water once or twice a week. If a chicken starts wheezing, coughing, or has a runny nose, separate her and check with a vet—it might be contagious.
