November Theme: Discovering Effortless Piano Posture
This month, we’re diving into something foundational, and often misunderstood.
Posture.
Not the kind that makes you look “correct” at the piano, but the kind that makes you feel free.
The kind that lets your hands move easily, your breath flow naturally, and your sound expand.
We’ll explore what effortless posture really means, beyond “sit up straight,” and how your whole body can support your playing without strain or stiffness.
You’ll start to sense how posture isn’t a position to hold, but a living relationship with gravity, movement, and music itself.
Whether you’ve struggled with tension, fatigue, or simply never felt fully comfortable at the piano, this month will help you rediscover what ease actually feels like.
Each week, I’ll add new material in the classroom connected to this theme, with gentle prompts to help you reflect and notice your own experience.
The first video will appear in the classroom on Tuesday!
Stay tuned and get ready to experience a new level of freedom at the keys.
