GREEN BELT 2026

So, we’ve survived the Year of the White Belt 2025.

“White Belt” represents that those who participate/train (it’s a Dojo),

try to acquire successful attempts at every known traditional Phyrekeeping Method,

while also experiencing the culture of PhyreDojo and learning terms and definitions like:

1) 22 Variables

2) 4 Foundational Skills

3) Lost Childhood

4) Obsidian Standard

5) Competence To Comprehension

6) Names of all the Traditional known Methods and the Devices

7) Janka Hardness Scale

8) 4 Best Methods for Kids & Beginners

9) Etc.

Soon begins the introductory Year of the Green Belt.

“Green Belt” represents that you wish to continue your training beyond just “Making Coals”.

We begin moving to the Moral/Ethical role of the PhyreKeeper that one is a Provider for their Tribe. Others before Self.

Now we will begin to “Make Sets” that are of such quality that you can confidently hand them to someone else so they will “Make Coals” with the sets you made.

This begins your path to teaching and training others as well.

Because you will know through experience how and why Sets are made the way that they are in balancing all the “22 Variables” to achieve coals and acquire Life Supporting Phyre,

you begin to fulfill your role as a PhyreKeeper to pass knowledge and experience to others.

The “plan” is to run BOTH “White Belt” & “Green Belt” Workshops in 2026.

You may not know this but it’s going to be a very ambitious thing to do regarding how I have practically no time already with my nursing work schedule…

We begin Green Belt 2026 learning more terms and definitions:

1) RM1 (Raw Materials) – On SATURDAYS in January & February (because these places are CLOSED ON SUNDAYS) we will visit and buy Raw Materials in two places: BOARDS & BEAMS of Fairfield NJ & WILLARD BROTHERS in Trenton, NJ. We will bring the Raw Materials back to PhyreDojo in Stewartsville, NJ and cut them down to manageable pieces.

2) RM2 (Ready Milled) – In March we return to SUNDAYS, training in the processes of “milling”, which prepares the Raw Materials to be worked on further. One of the most important skills here is “Squaring a Board”.

3) RM3 (Reality Made) – We turn and create the milled pieces into the accurately cut Devices that will become “Sets”. Final shaping, sanding, lasering, putting in containers.

You won’t be making one of each Method, you’ll be making AT LEAST THREE of each Method at a time.

Set #1 will become your own, regular standard Set that you keep and use for demonstrations for others on a regular basis. You will say, “This is MY SET.”

Set #2 will be a giveaway Set. This Set represents that it is the Tribe that matters in the role of the PhyreKeeper. You probably know of someone that would want and benefit from that Set. If not, you will have plenty of time to figure out where it’s new home will be.

Set #3 will be a Set that you choose to do with. You can hold it as a BackUp, a 2nd Set for teaching and training others, a Gift, or even sell it. Your choice.

But you must experience making MORE THAN ONE. Because making just one is not good enough.

During this period we’ll have universal drawings and plans and measurements and pathways for everyone to follow so everyone is on the same page.

It is from these basic experiences that you can start evolving what “your own style” will come from it.

In the future, what would your Sets look like? I’ve had some of my most creative ideas from this process.

I honestly don’t know how long it will take to get everyone completed. Meeting once a month for one year might be not be enough time.

I expect it might take longer, because, Life…

I hope to not have to “tweak” the schedule calendar often. My nursing work schedule may interfere here and there.

This post doesn’t list everything we will cover or go over.

There are many things that can ONLY be taught or experienced “IN CONTEXT”. And those things will be covered as we train through them (because it’s a Dojo).
