Get into rooms where your potential clients hang out...
Don't go to networking events to meet other photographers, you guys are just competing for the same clients at the end of the day. If you're a beginner and you need to learn the rope from someone more experienced, yes it makes sense. However I think this is a piece of advice that changed a lot of things in my way of thinking. "Try your hardest to get into the rooms where your clients hang out" Now I heard this yesterday from a podcast and I've been thinking of some tangible and actionable steps I can give to you. The first thing I'll say is to the week 1 phase in the classroom, that way you can a better idea of who you are targeting and what your offer is. From there try to interview these prospects of yours and find out where you can meet a ton of them. For example if you want to take real estate photos, try to meet realtors on Zillow. And let's say you're taking photos in the restaurant space, well then look at instagram and yelp perhaps. Just try to figure it out yourself, I only know what's best for my niche but try to figure that all out for yourself! Hopefully I expanded your thinking a bit, and if you need any help make sure to make a post! God bless!!
