There was a time in my life when I kept waiting for someone to rescue me.
I thought the right relationship would fix everything.
I thought life would somehow get easier.
I thought if I just held on a little longer, someone would come along and change my circumstances.
No one did.
After three marriages, raising two boys, working multiple jobs, losing custody of my oldest son because I couldn't afford to keep fighting in court, and wondering how I was going to make it through another day, I finally realized something that changed my life...
No one was coming to rescue me.
That wasn't a hopeless realization.
It was a freeing one.
The day I stopped waiting for someone else to change my life was the day I started changing it myself.
That decision led me back into the Army, where I discovered strength I never knew I had. It didn't solve every problem overnight, but it gave me a new direction—and eventually led me to the purpose I'm living today.
If you're waiting for the "right time," the "right person," or the "right circumstances," this is your reminder:
Your next chapter doesn't begin when someone rescues you.
It begins when you decide to take the first step.
💙 Your Pivot Challenge: What's one thing you've been waiting on that you can take action on today?
