Perfection is impossible
This superb video from a speech by Federer explains how we need to control our reactions to a poor shot. If we get angry, shout, complain or react negatively it will affect the next shot and often the entire game. I’ve witnessed some of the finest talents in the game ruin their performance and potential by the inability to control their emotions.
Often we just want it too much and we struggle to contain control when the importance is a fiction created in our minds.
