After this weekends inter regionals competition at Weston-super-Mare, im writing reflecting on our only loss over the weekend. Although we'd had a couple of tough matches , were we had to dig deep mentally to get over the line , we never once had to change from our positions as shooter, middle , pointer. ( i was middle ) . We'd won all our first 9 matches ( for those who dont know you play 11 in total ) . In the 10th , Although it was a challenging piste , and of course it was the same for the other team. They were decent with a very good up and coming shooter but both myself and our normally very good pointer couldn't apply any decent pressure on the opposition. Our shooter however was pointing brilliantly, usually getting near the couche with virtually every boule . However for approx 6 ends the opposition had many boules in hand to shoot us out . I should have been more positive in changing the order around instead of a " well its been working all weekend " attitude . Lesson learnt , more thinking required in certain games .
Ps . Was great to meet fellow follower despite it being briefly . Onwards and upwards.
