Greetings fellow musicians!
My name is Mike Minarcek and I am thrilled to start this community and help you achieve your musical goals, whatever they might be, and even if you don't presently know what they are!
Music is a vital part of life, and I am very fortunate to have had numerous excellent teachers in my life and now it is my turn to pay it back!
I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts in Percussion Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and an MM and BM in percussion performance from Wright State University. I have served as adjunct instructors at Illinois Wesleyan University and Sinclair Community College where I have had the pleasure of working with students of all ages, experience levels and aspirations.
I teach all percussion instruments, from orchestral to jazz, contemporary (pop, rock, funk, blues, etc) to marimba, vibraphone, world and hand percussion and just about everything else you might lovingly shake, strike or play!
Please send me an intro of yourself and I look forward to meeting you and tailoring my instruction to be of service to YOU.
