Step 1: Rebook before they leave
When the service is finished, ask the client to schedule the next visit immediately. People intend to return, but life gets busy. Booking on the spot locks it in.
Step 2: Set an automatic reminder
Use a booking system or app to send reminders 24–48 hours before the appointment. This reduces no-shows and keeps your schedule running smoothly.
Step 3: Send a quick follow-up message
Within a day, send a short message thanking them and asking if everything is okay. It shows care and keeps your business top of mind.
Example:
A pet groomer finishes grooming Bella the Maltese and immediately books her next groom in 6 weeks, sends a reminder automatically, and follows up with a “Bella looked adorable today!” message. That small effort often turns a once-off client into a long-term regular.
